Baked Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, or Stuffing? Such delicious choices!!
It all depends on you want to serve for Christmas. I start with the turkey or ham, then decide from there. The next step for me is to find what vegetables I want to have. My favorite holiday vegetable to make is my Green Beans with Bacon and Onions. But, from time-to-time, I will want Peas with Butter. It's such a simple dish to make.
Take a large bag of frozen peas and heat according to directions. Drain. Add LOTS of sweet cream butter; toss to coat and serve!
The next step is what to have for dessert. I have standard favorites and so does my husband, but I try and stay with the "holiday" themed desserts. Or, do what I do sometimes - I suggest things to my husband like "chocolate cobbler" and he says "great!" and then it becomes a "holiday themed" dessert for us!
