Did you know that the idea behind "break fast" is to break the fast from the night before? In the olden days, most people didn't eat after dinner - in technical terms, they "fasted" until the next morning. By eating the next morning they "broke the fast" - and that's how the term "breakfast" was born.
What is your idea of breakfast?
Mine is something "simple". Like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and 1/2 cup milk. Banana bread with cream cheese on top and 1/2 cup milk. A toasted bagel with veggie cream cheese and 1/2 cup milk. Something that takes less than 10 minutes to prepare. After all, I work M-F 8-5 so my time is limited. And, I've never been a breakfast person. But over time I found out that it's important that I eat breakfast; it helps my energy and speeds up my metabolism.
So whatever you want for breakfast - make it good and wholesome, and enjoy!
