Turkey or Ham for Thanksgiving? Ham or Turkey? If you can't decide, have both! My husband and I have never done that. Usually if we have turkey for Thanksgiving, we have ham for Christmas and vice versa.
This year (2014), we went to a neighbor's house for Thanksgiving. She cooked the turkey, stuffing, green bean caserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, and sugar cookies. I made pumpkin pie with homemade whipped topping, and my mother's Raw Cranberry Sauce. Yeah, I know! I lucked out in not cooking much for Thanksgiving! She even sent us home with leftovers! Life is good!
