One of our neighbors, Vonnie, makes the most wonderful sweet potato recipe I've ever tasted. At one of our Village get-together recently I asked her for the recipe. Here it is:
Carmeled Sweet Potatoes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
5 medium sweet potatoes
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
8 large marshmallows
1 cup thin cream (Half 'n Half)
1/2 cup chopped nuts, if desired
Cook potatoes until tender, drain and cool Cut in half lenghwise and place in greased casserole dish. Mix salt, sugar, and flour and pour over potatoes. Dot with butter. Add marshmallows and nuts and pour cream over all. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Serves 5.
