Grilled Brats

12 brats (about 1 pound)
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 (12 ounce) can beer
1 large onion, peeled and sliced
Place all ingredients in large pan. Simmer about 10 minutes. Remove brats and grill until brown and firm to the touch, 25 to 30 minutes. Set pan with liquid on grill. Add browned brats and simmer until ready to serve.
